Welcome to SNAPT. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the SNAPT service, including our Telegram bot, web application, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using SNAPT, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Please read these Terms carefully before using the Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.

1. Service Description

SNAPT is an AI-powered receipt analyzer and budget categorizer that:

  • Receives receipt photos via Telegram
  • Uses artificial intelligence to analyze and extract receipt data
  • Categorizes items based on your YNAB budget categories
  • Creates split transactions in your YNAB account
  • Tracks usage and provides analytics

The Service is designed to assist with personal budgeting and is not intended for commercial accounting, tax preparation, or financial advice.

2. Account Requirements

To use SNAPT, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a valid Telegram account
  • Have a YNAB (You Need A Budget) account with API access
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information
  • Maintain the security of your account credentials

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or security breach.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree to use SNAPT only for:

  • Personal budgeting and expense tracking
  • Processing legitimate receipts from your own purchases
  • Lawful purposes in compliance with all applicable laws

You agree NOT to:

  • Share your account or credentials with others
  • Submit fraudulent, falsified, or illegal documents
  • Attempt to circumvent rate limits or security measures
  • Use the Service for commercial purposes without authorization
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers
  • Upload malware, viruses, or harmful code
  • Violate the rights of others or applicable laws
  • Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

4. Subscription Tiers and Billing

Service Tiers

SNAPT offers different subscription tiers with varying features and usage limits. Current tier details and pricing are available on our website and may change from time to time.

Payment

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Prices are in USD unless otherwise specified
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method for all fees incurred

Free Tier

A free tier may be available with limited features and usage. Free tier availability and limits are subject to change at our discretion.

5. Cancellation and Refunds

Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your billing period
  • No partial refunds for unused time in a billing period

Refunds

Refunds may be issued at our sole discretion in the following cases:

  • Service outages lasting more than 48 consecutive hours
  • Billing errors on our part
  • Within 7 days of initial subscription if the Service does not meet your expectations

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access to the Service. The Service may be temporarily unavailable due to:

  • Scheduled maintenance (we will provide advance notice when possible)
  • Unscheduled maintenance or emergency repairs
  • Third-party service outages (Telegram, YNAB, AI providers)
  • Events beyond our reasonable control

We are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from service interruptions or unavailability.

7. AI Processing and Accuracy

SNAPT uses artificial intelligence to analyze receipts. You acknowledge that:

  • AI analysis may not always be 100% accurate
  • You are responsible for reviewing and approving all transactions before submission
  • Category suggestions are recommendations, not financial advice
  • Receipt quality affects analysis accuracy

We are not responsible for errors in transactions that you have approved and submitted to YNAB.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPT AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Errors in transaction data or categorization
  • Unauthorized access to your account
  • Third-party service failures or interruptions

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR ACCURACY. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, features, code, and content, is owned by SNAPT and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute our code or content without permission
  • Use our trademarks, logos, or branding without authorization
  • Create derivative works based on the Service

You retain ownership of your receipt images and data. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SNAPT and its affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorney fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any rights of others.

12. Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support or through account settings. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service immediately if:

  • You violate these Terms
  • Your payment method fails and is not updated
  • We suspect fraudulent or abusive activity
  • Required by law or regulatory requirements
  • We discontinue the Service (with reasonable notice)

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in court for intellectual property violations.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated through:

  • Email notification to your registered address
  • In-app or bot notification
  • Posting on our website with updated date

Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.

15. Miscellaneous

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and SNAPT regarding the Service.
  • Severability: If any provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect.
  • No Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right does not waive future enforcement.
  • Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign our rights freely.
