Terms of Service - Snapt

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Snapt service ("Service"), including our Telegram bot, web application, and related services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Snapt is an AI-powered receipt processing service that:

Extracts itemized transaction data from receipt images and documents
Syncs itemized data with your YNAB (You Need A Budget) account
Provides budget insights and spending analysis (tier-dependent)

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service. By using Snapt, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

4. Subscription Tiers and Pricing

4.1 Available Tiers

4.2 Feature Availability

Basic Receipt Processing: Available to all tiers
YNAB Sync: Available to all tiers
PDF/WebP Document Processing: PLUS tier and above
Couples Mode (Shared Budgets): PLUS tier and above
Budget Insights & Analytics: PRO tier only
Smart AI Escalation: PLUS tier and above

4.3 Receipt Limits

FREE_TRIAL users receive 5 lifetime receipts (non-renewing)
Paid subscribers receive their tier's monthly allocation
Receipt counts reset on the first day of each billing cycle
Unused receipts do not roll over to subsequent months

4.4 Billing

Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance
Payments are processed securely through Stripe
Automatic renewal occurs on the same day each month
You may cancel at any time; access continues through the end of your billing period

4.5 Price Changes

We reserve the right to modify pricing with 30 days advance notice. You will be notified via email to your registered address and Telegram message through the Snapt bot. Continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

4.6 Founding 100 Program

Founding 100 members who subscribe during the launch period (January 15, 2025 - February 28, 2025) using the FOUNDING100 coupon code receive:

30% lifetime discount on all subscription tiers:
- LITE: $2.10/month (normally $3.00)
- PLUS: $4.20/month (normally $6.00)
- PRO: $5.60/month (normally $8.00)
Price lock protection: Your discounted rate survives future price increases
Founding Member badge: Permanent recognition in your account

Important: The Founding 100 discount is non-transferable, does not reinstate after cancellation, and cannot be combined with other promotional offers.

4.7 Refunds

We offer a 7-day refund policy for first-time subscribers who are unsatisfied with the Service. Refund requests after 7 days are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

5. User Accounts and Security

5.1 Account Creation

You may access Snapt through Telegram (primary interface) or the web application at usesnapt.com.

5.2 YNAB Connection

To use Snapt's sync features, you must authorize access to your YNAB account via OAuth. You may revoke this access at any time through your YNAB account settings.

5.3 Account Security

You are responsible for:

Maintaining the security of your Telegram account
Any activity that occurs through your connected accounts
Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

6. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

Upload fraudulent, misleading, or fake receipts
Attempt to circumvent receipt limits or tier restrictions
Use the Service for illegal purposes
Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
Interfere with the Service's operation or security

7. Disclaimers and Limitations

7.1 Service Availability

Snapt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, or compatibility with all devices or platforms.

7.2 YNAB Integration

Snapt is not affiliated with YNAB. We are not responsible for changes to YNAB's API or service that may affect Snapt functionality.

7.3 AI Processing Accuracy

Receipt processing is performed by AI and may contain errors. Specifically:

Extracted amounts, categories, and items may be incorrect
Processing time varies based on complexity (typically 30 seconds, but may take longer)
Complex, damaged, or non-standard receipts may produce incomplete results
Users should verify synced data in YNAB before relying on it for financial decisions

We are not liable for financial decisions made based on AI-processed data.

7.4 Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SNAPT AND ITS OPERATORS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Snapt are owned by Snapt and protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of your receipt images and financial data.

9. Privacy

Your use of Snapt is governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Termination

10.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Snapt bot or web application.

10.2 By Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access for:

Violation of these Terms
Fraudulent or illegal activity
Non-payment of subscription fees

11. Dispute Resolution

11.1 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.

11.2 Informal Resolution

Before filing any claim, you agree to contact us at support@usesnapt.com to attempt informal resolution.

12. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated with 30 days notice via email and Telegram. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
